Road Safety Trust 

The Road Safety Trust are an independent grant-giving Trust working hard to reduce the numbers of people killed or injured on our roads. They do this by providing independent funding for vital research and practical interventions into new approaches to road safety.

We are very lucky to have worked with the Road Safety Trust on the EXIT project and now the BYSTANDER project. 

Vision Zero South West 

Vision Zero South West is a collaborative project between a number of organisations across Devon and Cornwall. The one thing they all share is a commitment to cut the number of deaths and serious injuries in the region to zero.
 
Vision Zero South West is led by a partnership board which includes a wide range of experts from all around the South West including senior police and fire officers, leading clinicians, councillors and the police and crime commissioner for Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
 
We are very pleased to partner with Vision Zero South West and benefit from their funding and support to deliver our work.

DAAT 

Devon Air Ambulance Trust is the charity that raises the funds to keep Devon’s two air ambulances flying and our fleet of Critical Care Cars responding.

Accidents and illness happen and when they do patients, whatever their age, circumstance or location, need specialist treatment fast. The speed with which our air ambulance doctors and paramedics can reach a patient, identify their time-critical needs and provide their specialist life-saving treatments and interventions to slow, halt or even reverse the effects of a life-threatening condition, is crucial in helping to achieve a successful outcome.

College of Paramedics

The College of Paramedics is the recognised professional body for paramedics in the UK. The College represents its members in all matters affecting their clinical practice and supports them to achieve the highest standards of patient care.

UKRO

UKRO is committed to improving rescue standards throughout the UK. Bringing together the UKs rescue services and developing their skills to serve the public.

The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care

The Faculty of Pre-hospital Care, with our multi-professional membership, is delighted to be supporting the IMPACT initiative, helping fulfil our objectives of  contributing to the research agenda in pre-hospital care and engagement  in the development of clinical policy through review of clinical evidence

The Faculty aims to promote high standards of pre-hospital care through education, research and teaching. The Faculties strategic objectives are to:
  • Set and maintain standards in pre-hospital care
  • Promote high quality education and teaching in pre-hospital care
  • Initiate technical development and contribute to the research agenda in pre-hospital care.
  • Effectively integrate the efforts of all participants in pre-hospital care
  • Engage in development of clinical policy through review of clinical evidence
 

Gendro’s vision is to transform the research ecosystem by embedding gender and sex dimensions across disciplines. Through collaborative efforts, Gendro strives to bridge knowledge gaps, build research capacity, and convene key stakeholders to drive systemic change for a more inclusive, responsive research landscape. With a strategic focus on health and medical research, Gendro is proud to partner with IMPACT to deepen our understanding of how sex and gender factors shape health outcomes in the realm of road injuries. This collaboration aims to uncover critical insights into how sex and gender influence injury patterns, treatment initiation and effectiveness, and recovery processes, fostering solutions that prioritize equitable health outcomes for all.

Parliamentary Advisory Council  for Transport Safety

The Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety (PACTS) is a registered charity. It supports the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Transport Safety. Its charitable objective is “To protect human life through the promotion of transport safety for the public benefit”.
 
Its aim is to advise and inform members of the House of Commons and of the House of Lords on air, rail and road safety issues. It brings together safety professionals and legislators to identify research-based solutions to transport safety problems having regard to cost, effectiveness, achievability and acceptability.
 
In recent years it has paid increasing attention to the links between transport safety, sustainability and public health.

World Rescue Organisation

The World Rescue Organisation (WRO) is a UK based not for profit organization established in 1999, with a specific mandate to assist with the dissemination of emergency rescue and medical techniques, practices and procedures to aid the effective management of Road Traffic Collisions and the care of those involved.
Through their expertise in post-crash rescue and trauma care, the World Rescue Organisation plays a vital role in reducing the global burden of road trauma, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. WRO has worked with rescue and trauma care professionals from around the world and organises the yearly World Rescue Challenge to enhance standards and build capability.

Brake

Brake is a national road safety charity, founded in 1995, that exists to stop deaths, serious injuries and pollution on roads, and to care for families bereaved and injured in road crashes.

Brake campaigns for safe and healthy roads through seeking government policies and investment to end the carnage, and through projects that help communities, schools and employers promote safe and pollution-free streets locally. Brake delivers Road Safety Week, the UK’s biggest road safety campaign and is the national provider of care and support to victims of road crashes and their families through the National Road Victim Service, helping families cope with the shock, turmoil and devastation that road crashes cause families across the UK every day. We run the National Centre of Excellence for Post Crash Support, the first centre of its kind in the UK dedicated to establishing and promoting best practice in post-crash professional support for victims and their families. We are excited about working more closely with the IMPACT team and exploring opportunities for Brake to support their important work.

The RAC Foundation 

The RAC Foundation is a transport policy and research organisation which explores the economic, mobility, safety and environmental issues relating to roads and their users. The Foundation publishes independent and authoritative research with which it promotes informed debate and advocates policy in the interest of the responsible motorist.
Project PACKINGTON

Project PACKINGTON is a Defence Medical Academy initiative. It has the vision “Rescuers sharing knowledge, saving limbs and lives”. Its aims are to improve the day for casualties in military vehicles, those they collide with, and the rescuers sent to their aid. Relevant training, collaboration, learning, through equipping and supporting everyone with a common goal: Optimal, evidence-based care as a force multiplier for Defence, and to reduce the human impact of large military vehicle collisions.
