Work with me

A Bit About Me

I’m a consultant in emergency medicine and prehospital care, with a particular interest in post-collision research and improving outcomes for patients. Over the years, I’ve worked on projects like the EXIT initiative, which aimed to make extrication safer and more effective.

I enjoy working in environments where decisions matter and time is of the essence. My background in emergency and prehospital medicine has taught me to navigate challenging situations with limited resources and a clear focus. That approach has naturally extended to my project work, particularly those requiring careful stakeholder engagement and strategic alignment.

What motivates me most is seeing a project come together—whether it’s a research initiative like the EXIT project or mentoring someone to achieve something they didn’t think possible. I’m also driven by a belief that healthcare must be equitable, and much of my work focuses on improving access and outcomes for everyone, regardless of their circumstances.

How I Work

Working with me involves a balance of focus and collaboration:

• Teamwork and Collaboration: I value time spent brainstorming and learning from different perspectives. The best ideas often come from a room full of varied experiences and viewpoints.

• Strategic Thinking: I thrive on looking at the bigger picture and steering a project’s direction, but I work best alongside people who are detail-focused and can help translate ideas into reality.

• Mentorship: I enjoy supporting others to grow and develop. If you’re driven and engaged, I’ll do my best to help you reach your goals.

• Focused Work Time: I work best when I have uninterrupted time to think deeply about strategy and problem-solving. This helps me make the best contributions to a project.

What You Can Expect from Me

• Big-Picture Thinking: I’ll bring a strategic view and a commitment to making progress.

• Drive and Momentum: I like to get things done effectively and at pace.

• Fairness and Equity: Equity is central to my work, and that ethos carries through into how I collaborate.

What I Look for in Collaborations

• Shared Purpose: If improving care and creating positive change is your goal, we’re likely to work well together.

• Honest Conversations: I like to work at pace and aim for clear, achievable goals. Setting expectations early—based on skills, time, and ability to deliver—helps create a shared understanding that makes projects run smoothly and successfully.

• Playing to Strengths: I work best with people who complement my skills with their own expertise.

• Curiosity and Openness: If something’s unclear, ask. Great results come from making sure we’re all on the same page.

A Few Things to Note

I keep international travel and nights away from home to a minimum—partly for environmental reasons, partly for family. I also focus my time and energy on projects that align with my areas of interest and expertise, so I may not be the right person for you.

Let’s Work Together

If you’ve got an idea or project that might benefit from a bit of strategic thinking or collaboration, feel free to get in touch. I’m always open to exploring how we can work together to make a difference.
